The Individual Consultant is expected to provide the following Consulting Services
- Identify potential rural tourism destinations in the State.
- Collect, analyze and interpret data and prepare the relevant parts of the strategic platform document from the rural tourism and demographic perspective.
- Mobilization of the local community for the potential of rural tourism in their area.
- Liaison with the locals, the govt and different affiliated societies.
- Technical know-how on how to aid in setting up of rural accommodation and facilities.
- Creating awareness on the income generation possibility due to rural tourism.
- Engaging with the rural community to preserve the local heritage of that particular place to create an experience for the visiting tourists.
- Should be able to conduct a systematic survey to identify the rural activity/ product/ practices for which that area has the expertise and has been built over a long time period of time.
- Actively participating in the rural lifestyle to understand the best experience that the place has to offer.
