Meghalaya State Talent Search Examination (STSE):- The Directorate of Educational Research and Training (DERT) Meghalaya, Shillong will conduct the State Talent Search Examination (STSE) in Mathematics & Science for tribal students of Meghalaya at the close of Upper Primary Stage for the year 2019-20 on the 27th February 2021 (Saturday).
Eligibility for Meghalaya State Talent Search Examination (STSE)
Candidates should
- Be a Scheduled Tribe of Meghalaya.
- Studying in Class VIII in 2020 in any type of school in Meghalaya.
- Score at least 50 marks in the aggregate in Mathematics & Science in Class VII 2019.
The Examination will comprise of two papers as mentioned below:-
Paper-I: (Total 100 Marks)
- Mental Ability Test: 25 Marks
- Mathematics: 75 Marks
Paper-II: (Total 100 Marks)
- General Science: 25 Marks
- Science: 75 Marks
The Head Teachers/ Principals of schools can submit the names of the Candidates along with the required documents i.e., Marksheet Class VII and ST Certificate to the concerned Sub-Divisional School Education Officer on or before 29th January 2021 (Friday).
Selected Candidates will be awarded a scholarship of 6,000/- (six thousand) per annum for two years i.e., during class IX and X.
