NEIAH Shillong Recruitment 2024 notification for Professor, Reader, and Nursing Officer vacancy
North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy (NEIAH) invites eligible candidates to attend an interview on 16.08.2024 for the posts of Professor, Reader and Nursing Officer.
1. Post Name:- Professor (Ayurveda)
- No of posts:- 5
- Subjects/Discipline:-
a. Rasa Shastra
b. Swasthavritta
c. Panchakarma
d. Prasuti Tantra
& Stri Roga
e. Kaumarabhritta - Age limit:- Up to 55 years.
- Essential Qualification:-
1. Post Graduate Degree in Ayurveda in the subject recognized under IMCC Act, 1970.
2. Five (5) years of teaching experience as a Reader/Associate Professor in the concerned subject or 5 years of research experience in PB-III (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with GP Rs. 7,600/- with NPA
OR
15 years combined experience in teaching as Reader/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor/ Lecturer in the concerned subject or 15 years of research experience in the pay scale of PB-III (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with a GP of. Rs. 7,600/-, Rs. 6,600/- and Rs. 5,400/- with NPA respectively out of which a minimum 2 years in the pay scale of PB-III (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with GP Rs. 7,600/- with NPA
3. Minimum five research publications indexed in Index Medicus of National Journals

2. Five (5) years of teaching/ research experience in the concerned subject in PB-III (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with GP Rs. 6,600/- with NPA
OR
10 years of combined experience in teaching as Assistant Professor/ Lecturer or 10 years research experience in the concerned subject of PB-III (Rs. 15,600-39,100)
with a GP of Rs. 6,600/- and a GP of Rs. 5,400/- respectively.
3. Minimum 3(three) research publications indexed in Index Medicus or National Journals
3. Post Name:- Lecturer (Ayurveda)
- No of posts:- 1
- Subjects/Discipline:- Shalakya Tantra
- Age limit:- Up to 40 years.
- Essential Qualification:- Post Graduate Degree in Ayurveda in the concerned subject included recognized under IMCC Act, 1970.
- Desirable:-
1. Publication and experience in Research.
2. Working knowledge of Computers.
4. Post Name:- Professor (Homoeopathy Subject)
- No of posts:- 1
- Subjects/Discipline:- Case Taking Repertory
- Age limit:- Up to 55 years.
- Essential Qualification:-
1. Post Graduate Degree in Homoeopathy in the concerned subject included in the Second Schedule of Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973.
2. Five years of teaching experience as a Reader/Associate Professor in the concerned subject or 5 years of research experience in PB-III (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with GP Rs.
7,600/- + NPA.
OR
15 years combined experience in teaching as Reader/Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor/ Lecturer in the concerned subject or 15 years research experience in the

d. Surgery - Age limit:- Up to 55 years.
- Essential Qualification:-
1. Post Graduate Degree in Homoeopathy subject included in the Second Schedule of Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973 (NCH Act 2020); (Preference shall be given to the person holding PG Degree in Homoeopathy in the concerned subject).
OR
Post Graduate Medical Degree in the concerned subject recognized by the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (NMC Act 2019).
OR
2. 15 years combined experience in teaching as Reader/Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor/ Lecturer in the concerned subject in the Pay scale of PB-III (Rs. 15,600- 39,100) with a GP of. Rs. 7,600/-, Rs. 6,600/- or Rs. 5,400/- with NPA respectively or 15 years research experience in the pay scale of PB-III (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with GP Rs. 7,600/-, Rs. 6,600/-, and Rs. 5,400/- with NPA respectively out of which minimum 2 years in the pay scale of PB-III (Rs. 15,600/- – 39,100/-) with GP of Rs 7600/- with NPA.
3. Minimum five research publications indexed in Index Medicus or National Journals - Desirable:-
i. Ph.D in the concerned subject (internal candidates with Residential Ph.D shall get preference over outside candidates.
ii. Post-Graduate such as M.Sc. (Anatomy/Physiology/ Pharmacology) etc. for the respective allied subjects.
iii. Experience as Supervisor/ Guide for PG program in Homoeopathy and Publication in research.
iv. Research Experience in an institute recognized by a university and/ or State Government or Central Government.
v. Administrative Experience in a Homoeopathy Medical College/ Hospital.
6. Post Name:- Reader Homoeopathy (Allied Subject)
- No of posts:- 2
- Subjects/Discipline:-
a. Anatomy
b. Physiology - Age limit:- Up to 50 years.
- Essential Qualification:-
1. Post Graduate Degree in Homoeopathy subject included in the Second Schedule of Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973, (NCH Act 2020); (Preference shall be given to the persons holding PG Degree in Homoeopathy in the concerned subject).
OR
Post Graduate Medical Degree in the concerned subject recognized by the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (NMC Act 2019).
2. 10 years of combined experience in teaching as Assistant Professor/ Lecturer in the concerned subject in PB-III (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with GP Rs. 6,600 /- and 5,400/-
respectively + NPA or 10 years of research experience in PB-III (Rs. 15,600-39,100) with GP of Rs. 6,600/- and 5,400/- respectively + NPA.
3. Minimum three research publications indexed in Index Medicus or National Journals - Desirable:
i. Ph. D in the concerned subject
7. Post Name:- Lecturer Homoeopathy (Allied Subject)

- Subjects/Discipline:- Pathology & Microbiology
- Age limit:- Up to 40 years.
- Essential Qualification:-
1. Post Graduate in Homoeopathy subject included in the Second Schedule of Homoeopathy Central Council Act, 1973 (NCH Act 2020); (Preference shall be given to a person holding a PG Degree in Homoeopathy in the concerned subject).
OR
Post Graduate Medical Degree in the concerned subject recognized by the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (NMC Act 2019).
8. Post Name:- Nursing Officer/ Staff Nurse
- No of posts:- 1
- Age limit:- Up to 30 years.
- Essential Qualification:-
a. (i) B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing/ B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council-recognized institute or university
OR
Post basic B.Sc. Nursing from an Indian Nursing Council-recognized institute or university.
(ii) Registered as a Nurse or Nurse & Midwife with the state/Indian Nursing Council.
OR
b. (i) B.Sc Nursing (AYUSH) from an AYUSH recognized Institute/ University.
(ii) Registered in the respective state/Indian Ayush Nursing Council.
OR
c. (i) Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from an Indian Nursing Council recognized Institute/ Board or Council.
(ii) Registered as a Nurse or Nurse & Midwife in the state/Indian Nursing Council.
(iii) Two years experience in a minimum 25 bedded Hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned above.
OR
d. (i) Diploma in Nursing & Pharmacy of AYUSH and registered in the respective state/Indian Ayush Nursing Council.
(ii) Two years experience in minimum 25bedded Hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned above.

The selection will be made through a Walk-in Interview scheduled to be held at the Office of the Director, NEIAH, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong Meghalaya-793018 on 16.08.2024 from 10:30 am onwards.
Candidates should bring a duly filled-up application form in the prescribed format, two passport-size photographs, and original certificates along with a photocopy of the same duly self-attested in support of their Age, Qualifications, Registration & Experiences, etc.
