NEEPCO Apprentice Recruitment 2023: North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) proposes to engage 75 (Seventy-Five) apprentices for FY 2023-24 under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 for one-year apprenticeship training in the following trades for its different Stations/Projects/ Establishments. The last date for submission of the application is 30.11.2023.

1. Post Name:- Graduate Apprentice

  • No of posts:- 28
  • Place of training wise vacancy details:-
    1. Assam Gas Based Power Station (AGBPS), Dibrugarh, Assam: Elect/ Mech: 2 Seats
    2. Agartala Gas Based Power Station (AgGBPS), Tripura: Elect/ Mech: 2 Seats and Civil: 3 Seats
    3. Kameng Hydro Power Station (KaHPS), Arunachal Pradesh: Elect/ Mech: 1 Seat
    4. Kopili Hydro Power Station (KHPS), Umrongso, Assam: Elect/ Mech: 3 Seats and IT: 1 Seat
    5. Panyor Lower Hydro Power Station (PLHPS), Arunachal Pradesh: Elect/ Mech: 3 Seats, Civil: 3 Seats and IT: 1 Seat
    6. Tripura Gas Based Power Station (TGBPS), Tripura: Elect/ Mech: 3 Seats, Civil: 1 Seat and IT: 1 Seat

  • Monthly stipend:- Rs. 18,000/- per month
  • Essential Qualification:-
    a) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University.
    b) A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of parliament.

2. Post Name:- Technician Apprentice (Diploma in Engineering or Technology)

  • Essential Qualification:-
    a) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology Granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government.
    b) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology from a University.
    c) A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institute recognized by the State Govt. or Central Govt. as equivalent to (a) and (b) above

  • a) A degree in any subject (other than engineering/ technology) of a minimum three years duration granted by a Statutory University.
    b) A degree in any subject (other than engineering/ technology) of a minimum of three years duration granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act
    of parliament.
    c) Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to a degree (other than engineering/ technology)

  • Essential Qualification:-
    1. Boiler Attendant: 10th & ITI Pass
    2. Electrician: 10th & ITI Pass
    3. Lineman: 10th & ITI Pass
    4. Plumber: 8 th Pass & ITI
    5. Fitter: 10th & ITI Pass
Other Eligibility Criteria:-
  1. The candidate should be a resident of North East India.
  2. For Graduate Engineering & Diploma Engineering, the candidate should have completed his/ her Graduation/ Diploma not before 1st June 2022.
  3. For Non-Engineering Graduates or equivalent in general streams such as B.A, B.Sc & B.Com, the candidate should have completed his/ her Graduation/ Diploma not before 1st June 2022.
  4. For ITI Trade Apprentices, the candidate should have completed the ITI course.
  5. The candidate must have an Aadhaar Card (compulsory)/PAN card/ Voter ID Card/ Passport which is required for online registration.

Age limit

  • Maximum age 28 years as of 01-11-2023, but not less than 18 years. Age relaxation is allowed for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Classes/ Persons with Disability/ Ex-servicemen, per applicable Govt. of India rules.

How to apply for NEEPCO Apprentice Recruitment 2023: Graduate & Technician Apprentice?

(a) For Graduate Engineering & Diploma Engineering- (Category of apprentices appears at Post No.1 & 2)

Candidates must apply online at the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Step-I

  • The Candidates must get/enrolled/ registered with the Board of Practical Training (BOPT), through online enrolment at the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), at www.mhrdnats.gov.in and pose a valid enrolment ID generated after successful enrolment.
  • For instance, there may be candidates who possess both B.Tech and Diploma qualifications. If he/ she applies for Technician (Diploma)/ Graduate, the training slots, he/she must register as either Diploma or graduate only in the NATS portal (www.mhrdnats.gov.in)

Step II

  • After successful online registration at www.mhrdnats.gov.in and receipt of a valid enrolment ID, the candidate is advised to log in using your registered ID and Password can apply against the Establishment of NEEPCO and opt for the desired stream in line with fulfillment of educational qualifications and eligibility criteria.

(b) For Non-Engineering Graduate or equivalent in general streams such as B.A, B.Sc & B.Com (Category of apprentices appears at Post. No.3)

Candidates must apply online at the Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) (BOPTER) and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Step I

  • The Candidates must get himself/ herself enrolled/ registered with the Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) (BOPTER) through online enrolment at https://portalbopter.com/ and possess a valid enrolment ID generated after successful enrolment.

Step II

  • After successful online registration at https://portalbopter.com/ and receipt of a valid enrolment ID, the candidate is advised to log in using your registered ID and Password and apply against any one of the Establishment of NEEPCO and opt for the desired streams in line with the fulfillment of educational qualifications and eligibility criteria.

(c) For ITI Trade Apprentice (Boiler attendant, Electrician, Lineman, Plumber & Fitter)

  • Candidates must apply online at the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) and no other mode of application will be accepted.
  • The Candidates must get himself/ herself enrolled/ registered with the National Promotion Scheme (NAPS), through online enrolment at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and possess a valid enrolment ID generated after successful enrolment.

Commencement of online application (through NATS/ NAPS Portal): 15.11.2023

Closing of online application (through NATS/ NAPS Portal): 30.11.2023

Selection process

  • Eligible candidates for various categories will be sourced/ extracted from the database of the apprenticeship portals.
  • Selection shall be based on merit as per mark secured in the degree/ diploma course as mentioned against each Apprentice post.
  • First preference shall be given to candidates belonging to the State where the Power Station (s) is/ are located. After allocation of seats to candidates belonging to the state, if no sufficient candidates are found; selection for the rest nos. of the seats shall be based on the merit as per marks secured in the Graduation/diploma
    engineering course by the candidates belonging to other NE states of domicile.
  • A list of selected candidates will be made available at www.neepco.co.in. The call letters will be sent through their registered email only.
