Meghalaya Scholarship 2020- 21:- The Directorate of Higher and Technical Education Meghalaya, Shillong invites applications (Fresh and Renewal) students who are permanent residents in the State of Meghalaya for the year 2020-21 for the following Scholarship schemes. The last date for submission of the application is 15th December 2020.
1. Scholarship Name:- Pre Matric Scholarship tor Scheduled Caste
- Eligibility Criteria:- Students studying within the state of Meghalaya from class IX up to class X in Government schools/ institutes or private schools/ institutes recognized by the appropriate authority of the state can apply. The annual income of Parents for Scheduled Caste students should not exceed Rs. 2.00 Lakhs per annum.
2. Scholarship Name:- Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste
- Eligibility Criteria:- Students who are pursuing higher studies in different courses from class XI to Post Graduation can apply. The annual income of Parents for Schedule Caste Students should not exceed Rs. 2.50 Lakhs per annum.
3. Scholarship Name:- Free Studentship Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste
- Eligibility Criteria:- Students who are pursuing higher studies in different courses from class XI to Post-Graduation. Students who failed in the previous year and also those students who are not eligible to apply for Post Matric Scholarship for Schedule Tribe/ Schedule Caste on account of their parent’s income exceeding Rs. 2.50 Lakhs per annum.
4. Scholarship Name:- Book Grant Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe
- Eligibility Criteria:- Students who are pursuing higher studies in different courses from class XI to Post-Graduation (excluding Vocational, Engineering, Medical & Paramedical courses) and who secured 60% marks and above during previous year examination are eligible to apply for the Book Grant Scho1arship.
5. Scholarship Name:- Merit Scholarship for Tribal and General
- Eligibility Criteria:- Students of Meghalaya who have secured a very high percentage of marks in Class X, XII (MBOSE, AIICSE& CDSE), and Degree Examination 2020 for a specific number of Merit Scholarship to be chosen Merit wise.
6. Scholarship Name:- Post Graduate Research Scholarship
- Eligibility Criteria:- Students of Meghalaya (SC/ST and General) who are doing research courses in University or Research Institutions in M.Phil or Ph.D. and ho secured 50% marks and above at Master Degree level are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.
How to apply for Meghalaya Scholarship 2020- 21
The last date of submission of application forms will be on or before the 15th of December 2020. No application form will be entertained after the above-specified date.
All Principals submitting the application forms should submit along with the soft copy.
