Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, Shillong invites application from the bonafide citizen of India belonging to the Scheduled Tribe Community of the State of Meghalaya for filling up of three (3) vacant posts of Magistrate. The last date for submission of application is 22.11.2019.

Post Name:- Magistrate (First Class)

• No of posts:- 3 (Three)
• Place of posting:- Subordinate District Council Court, Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, Shillong
• Age limit:- 25 – 37 years.
• Pay level:- Rs. 62,400- 1,23,100/- PM (Level-18) plus usual allowances as admissible under the rule in force.
• Educational Qualification:- Law Graduate or Degree with a minimum of five years of practical experience as Advocate in the Court of law.
• Essential:- Can read and write Khasi Language and well acquainted with the Khasi Customs.

Application completed in all respects with attested copies of certificate, two passport size photographs and a self-addressed envelope accompanied with a fee of Rs. 500/- only to be credited into the Accounts of the Council at Meghalaya Rural Bank, Iewduh Branch (non-refundable), should be submitted to the office of the Secretary to the Executive Committee, Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, Shillong – 793002.

Application Form can be obtained from the Office of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, Shillong on payment of Rs. 50/-.

Candidates are required to clearly indicate both the division and percentage of marks in the application form.

The application will be received up to the 22nd November 2019 during office hours and no application will be entertained after the last date.

Selection Procedure

Applicants who fulfill the above essential qualification shall appear for written examination (in two Papers of 100 marks each).

The candidate who obtained a minimum of 60 marks in each Paper shall qualify for appearance in the personal interview which shall be shortlisted of the Top Twenty Candidates for Personal Interview for a total of 50 marks.
