NTRO Recruitment 2024: National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO) invites applications for the posts of Scientist B. The selection will be based on the GATE score. The last date for submission of the application is 19.01.2024.

    1. Electronics & Communications: 35 posts
    2. Computer Science: 33 posts
    3. Geo-Informatics and Remote Sensing: 6 posts
  • Upper age limit:- 30 years. The Upper age relaxation is up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • Salary:- Pay Level-10 of the Pay Matrix (Rs.56,100 -1,77,500).
  • Essential Qualification:-
  • 1. Electronics & Communications:
    First class Master’s degree of Science in Electronics/ Electronics & Computer Science/ Applied Electronics/ Radio Physics & Electronics or Mathematics from a recognized University or Institute;
    OR
    First class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics/ Electronics Communication & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Power/ Telecommunication/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Information & Communication/ Communication Optics & Optoelectronics or any other First Class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology dealing with networks or information security technologies from a recognized University or Institute;
    and
    Knowledge of Computer Applications.
  • 2. Computer Science:
    First class Master’s degree of Science in Mathematics from a recognized University or Institute;
    OR
    First class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science/ Computer/ Computer Science & Information Technology/ Information Engineering/ Information Technology or any other First Class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology dealing with information or data science technologies from a recognized University or institute;
    and
    Knowledge of Computer Application
  • 3. Geo-informatics and Remote Sensing:
    First class Master’s degree of Science in Geo-Informatics/ Remote Sensing & Geo-Informatics or Mathematics from a recognized University or Institute;
    OR
    First-class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Geo-Informatics/ Geo-Informatics & Remote Sensing from a recognized University or Institute; and
    and
    Knowledge of Computer Application

GATE Score: Must Possess VALID GATE score card (i,e. GATE- 2021, 2022 & 2023) in the respective paper/s.

Selection Procedure
  1. Though VALID GATE score card i,e, For Electronics & Communications and Computer Science – GATE- 2021, 2022 & 2023 and Geo-informatics & Remote Sensing- GATE-2022 & 2023only in the corresponding GATE paper.
  2. The shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in Stage I (Written Examination) where minimum qualifying marks shall be 50% for the Unreserved category and 40% for reserved categories.
  3. The candidates, who are shortlisted based on their merit position in Stage I (Written Examination) and reservation policy, shall only be called for Stage II (Interview) in the ratio of 1:4 (No of vacancies: No of candidates).
  4. Out of the maximum 50 marks for Stage II (Interview), the minimum qualifying marks will be 50% marks for the unreserved category and 40% marks for reserved category candidates.
  5. Final selection will be based on meeting the prescribed essential eligibility criteria and based on the GATE Score, marks obtained in Stage I (Written Examination) and Stage II (Interview) for each category in the respective subject field. For the preparation of the consolidated merit list for final selection, 50% weightage will be given to the GATE Score, 30% weightage will be given to marks obtained in Stage I (Written Examination) and 20% weightage will be given to marks obtained in Stage II (interview).
