KV AFS Shillong Recruitment 2025: The Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS, Laitkor Peak, Shillong invites eligible candidates who are looking for Teaching Jobs in Shillong to attend the walk-in-interview to held on 18th Feb 2025 for the post of PGT, TGT, PRT, Nurse, Computer Instructor, Balvatika Teacher, Special Educator, Counsellor, Sports Coach, Yoga Instructor and Data Entry Operator for the session 2025-26.
1. Post Name: Primary Teacher (PRT)
- Essential Qualification:
- a) Senior Secondary Certificate with 50% marks Or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent with JBT/Diploma or Certificate in Basic Teachers Training (2 Years) or Bachelor of Elementary Education or B.Ed.
- b) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
- c) Proficiency in teaching through Hindi & English media
- OR
- a) Graduation with 50% Marks.
- b) B.Ed. with 50% marks.
- c) Preferably pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper I conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
- d) Proficiency in teaching through Hindi & English Medium.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Application
2. Post Name: Balvatika Teacher
- Essential Qualification:
- 12th passed with at least 50%
- OR
- Diploma in Nursery Teacher Education/ 2 year Pre-School Education/ Early Childhood Education Program (D.E.C.Ed) course or B.Ed Nursery
3. Post Name: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Hindi, English, History, Geography and Economics
- Essential Qualification:
- 1. Two years Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject;
- OR
- Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the following subjects:
- PGT (English)- English
- PGT (Hindi) – Hindi or Sanskrit with Hindi as one of the subjects at Graduate level.
- PGT (Maths) -Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics
- PGT (Physics)–Physics/ Electronics/ Applied Physics/Nuclear Physics.
- PGT (Chemistry) - Chemistry/ Bio. Chem.
- PGT (Biology) - Botany/ Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Bio Sciences/ Genetics/ Micro Biology/ Bio Technology/ Molecular Bio/ Plant Physiology provided they have studied
- Botany and Zoology at Graduation level.
- PGT (Economics) – Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics.
- PGT (History)- Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in History subjects
- PGT (Geography)- Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in Geography subjects.
- 2. B.Ed. or equivalent degree from recognized university
- Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
- Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications
4. Post Name: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) Computer Science
- Essential Qualification: At-least 50 % marks in aggregate in any of the following;
- 1. B.E or B. Tech. (Computer Science/IT) from a recognized University or equivalent Degree or Diploma from an institution/ university recognized by the Govt. of India.
- OR
- B.E or B. Tech. (any stream) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computers from recognized University.
- OR
- M.Sc. (Computer Science)/ MCA or Equivalent from a recognized University.
- OR
- B.Sc. (Computer Science)/ BCA or Equivalent and Post Graduate degree in subject from a recognized University
- OR
- Post Graduate Diploma in Computer and Post Graduate degree in any subject from recognized University.
- OR
- “B” Level from “DOEACC” and Post Graduate degree in any subject.
- OR
- “C” Level from “DOEACC” Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and Graduation.
- 2. Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English.
5. Post Name: Computer Instructor
- Essential Qualification:
- Any one of B. Tech/BCA/ MCA/ M.Sc. (CS/IT)/B.Sc. (CS)
- OR
- Graduate/ PG(Science/ Maths) with PGDCA or PG in any subject with “B” level from DOEACC from Govt. recognized institutions
6. Post Name: Nurse (Female candidates preferred)
- Essential Qualification: Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with registration in the Nursing Council. Experienced candidates will be given preference
7. Post Name: Data Entry Operator
- Essential Qualification:
- Graduate
- Typing Speed of 35 WPM (minimum) in English & 30 WPM (minimum) in Hindi. Knowledge of Computer Applications (Windows, MS Office, Spreadsheet, E-mail, Internet, Tally etc.)
8. Post Name: Special Educator
- Essential Qualification:
- XIIth passed and two year D.Ed. Special Education in any of the category of disability.
- OR
- XIIth passed and one year Diploma in Special Education (DSE) in any of the category of disability.
- OR
- Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation(DCBR) with 6 months Certification course in Education of Children with Special Needs.
- OR
- Post Graduate Diploma in Community Based Rehabilitation (PGDCBR) with 6 months certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs
- OR
- Diploma in Multi Rehabilitation Worker (MRW)with 6 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.
- OR
- Junior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf.
- OR
- Primary level Teacher Training course in Visual Impairment.
- OR
- Diploma in Vocational Rehabilitation- Mental Retardation (DVR-MR)/ Diploma in Vocational Training and Employment – Mental Retardation (DVTE-MR) with 6 months Certificate in Education of Children with Special Needs.
- OR
- Diploma in Dearing Language and Speech (DHLS) with 6 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.
- OR
- XII passed with any RCI recognized qualification of minimum one year duration and 6 months Certificate course in Education of Children with Special Needs.
- OR
- Any other equivalent qualification approved by RCI.
9. Post Name: Counsellor
- Essential Qualification: BA/B.Sc, (Psychology) with certificate of diploma in counseling.
- Desirable :
- Minimum of one year Experience in Providing Career/ Educational Counselling to students at schools OR
- Working knowledge and experience in placement Bureaus OR
- Registration with rehabilitation Council of India as Vocational Counselor
10. Post Name: Sports Coach
- Essential Qualification: Degree/Diploma from a recognized University or State/National level games & sports Player.
11. Post Name: TGT-AE
- Essential Qualification:
- Five years’ recognized diploma in drawing and Painting/ Sculpture/ Graphic art OR Equivalent recognized Degree
- Working knowledge of Hindi & English
- Desirable: Working Knowledge of Computer Application
12. Post Name: Yoga Instructor
- Essential Qualification:
- Graduation in any subject or equivalent from a recognized university.
- 01-year training in Yoga from recognized Institution.
