- Essential Qualification: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Biological Sciences/ Business Administration in Agri-Business Management.
- Experience:
# For Master’s degree holders: Minimum 2 years of experience in organic farming and/or its certification process.
# For Bachelor’s degree holders: Minimum 4 years of post-degree experience in agriculture, including 2 years in organic farming and/or its certification process.
# Desirable qualifications: Experience in agriculture and allied sectors, with knowledge of organic product marketing.
# Familiarity with Grower Group Certification Systems, Internal Control Systems, and efficient documentation for internal and external audits.
2. Post Name: NPOP/Organic Farming Specialist
- No of posts: 1
- Salary: As per company norms.
- Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in: Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Biological Sciences/ Business Administration in Agri-Business Management
- Experience:
# For candidates with a Bachelor’s degree: At least 6 years of work experience.
# For candidates with a Master’s degree: At least 4 years of work experience.
# Experience must be in organic agriculture or horticulture trade.
# Acquaintance with the NPOP (National Programme for Organic Production) certification process is preferred.
# Familiarity with the current organic agricultural trade landscape and the horticulture value chain of Meghalaya.
# Experience in strategizing for the establishment of an organic certification agency is highly desirable.
3. Post Name: Training & Capacity Building Specialist
- No of posts: 1
- Salary: As per company norms.
- Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree in Agriculture/ Agri-Business Management/ Biological Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience:
# Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project/program management or capacity development.
# Experience in designing training modules, including training inputs and methodologies, in the agriculture and allied sectors.
# Familiarity with Grower Group Certification Systems, Internal Control Systems, and documentation for internal and external audits.
# Experience in similar assignments in the Northeast region of India is an added advantage.
4. Post Name: PoP and Materials Specialist
- No of posts: 1
- Salary: As per company norms.
- Essential Qualification:
# Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Agricultural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
# Additional qualifications in agronomy, pest control, post-harvest technology, food processing, and packaging are valuable. - Experience:
# Demonstrated 4 years (with a Bachelor’s degree) or 2 years (with a Master’s degree) of experience working in the northeastern states, especially in Meghalaya, within the agricultural sector.
# Proven experience in developing PoP (Package of Practices) materials with a strong understanding of the agricultural context of Meghalaya, including local farming practices, soil conditions, and climatic factors.
# Expertise in organic and sustainable farming practices, conducting field trials, and demonstrations, and organizing farmer training programs.
# Excellent research, writing, and communication skills, with fluency in local languages and dialects.
# Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including farmers, extension workers, and government officials.
