The Director of Health Services (MI), Meghalaya, Shillong invites applications from in prescribed format for Medical Studies i.e. (1) MBBS (2) BDS (3) BHMS (4) BAMS (5) BUMS and (6) BASLP against State Quota seats in various Medical Institutions in India during Academic Session 2024-2025 with effect from 6th August 2024 to 21st August 2024 till 5:00 P.M

Application Form without NEET UG 2024 (RESULT SHEET) will not be considered under any circumstances.

  • Age limit: They should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2024. The upper age limit for candidates is 25 years as of 31st December 2024. However, this upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years for the candidates of Meghalaya belonging to ST/SC/OST.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Only candidates who are Indigenous inhabitants or Permanent Residents of the State and have passed the 10+2 level examination from a recognized University or Board of Authority in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology, and English and qualifying NEET UG 2024 are eligible to apply.

How to apply for Meghalaya State Quota Medical Course Admission 2024?

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the Meghalaya Health and Family Welfare Department’s official website www.meghealth.gov.in from 06.08.2024 to 21.08.2024 till 5:00 P.M.

Selection Procedure

  • Candidates who are otherwise medically fit and eligible will be ranked on merit as per their NEET Score in their respective categories.
  • In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, the minimum marks shall be with reference to marks secured by candidates in the respective categories.
  • The final selection of eligible candidates shall be subject to the Reservation Policy of the State of Meghalaya.
  • In case of a tie, NEET marks in the following subjects and order – Biology, Chemistry, and Physics – will be considered:
    (a) Candidates with higher marks in Biology will be given the first preference.
    (b) After Biology, the next determining factor is the marks obtained in Chemistry. Candidates with higher marks in this subject are given preference in the tie-breaking process.
    (c) If the tie still exists, then the candidate having higher marks in Physics will be given preference.
