The District Selection Committee, South Garo Hills District, Baghmara invites online applications from genuine citizens of India for the posts of LDA, Gram Sevak/Sevika, Sericulture Demonstrator, Forester-I, Game Watcher, and Boatman. Preference will be given to local candidates residing permanently in South Garo Hills District, Meghalaya where the vacancies occur. 1. Post Name: LDA
- No of posts: 12 [UR:4, Garo/K&J:8]
- Salary: Pay level 5 (As per Revised pay structure)
- Essential Qualification: Matriculation/ SSLC, passing with a certificate in Computer Application, with a minimum speed of 30 w.p.m (to be ascertained in the technical speed).
2. Post Name: Gram Sevak
- No of posts: 9 [UR:1, Garo/K&J:7, OST/SC:1]
- Salary: Pay level 5 (As per Revised pay structure)
- Essential Qualification: Matriculation/ SSLC passed. Every person appointed to the post will undergo the training for Gram Sevaks. Candidates will have to undergo a Physical Test.
3. Post Name: Gram Sevika

- Salary: Pay level 5 (As per Revised pay structure)
- Essential Qualification: Matriculation/ SSLC passed. Every person appointed to the post will undergo the training for Gram Sevika. Candidates will have to undergo a Physical Test.
4. Post Name: Sericulture Demonstrator
- No of posts: 3 [Garo/K&J:3]
- Salary: Pay level 5 (As per Revised pay structure)
- Essential Qualification: Matriculation/SSLC passed. 15 (fifteen) Months certificate course in Sericulture.
5. Post Name: Forest Guard

- Salary: Pay level 2 (As per Revised pay structure)
- Essential Qualification: SSLC passed and above or equivalent examination from recognized boards. Candidates must have possessed the minimum physical standard/fitness as prescribed below:
(i) Age: 18 to 30 years.
(ii) Height: MALE 163 CMS and FEMALE 150 on expanded.
(iii) Chest: Male 79 ems (Normal) and +05cms on expanded. FEMALE 74cms (Normal) and +05cms on expanded.
(iv) Minimum height for candidates belonging to SC/ST MALE is 152 cms and FEMALE 145 cms. Candidates will have to undergo a Physical Test.
6. Post Name: Forester-I
- No of posts: 7 [UR:1, Garo/K&J:6]
- Salary: Pay level 4 (As per Revised pay structure)
- Essential Qualification: HSSLC passed and above or equivalent examination from recognized boards. Candidates must have possessed the minimum physical standard/fitness as prescribed below:
(i) Age: 18 to 30 years.
(ii) Height: MALE 163 CMS and FEMALE 150 cms on expanded.
(iii) Chest: Male 79 ems (Normal) and +05cms on expanded. FEMALE 74cms (Normal) and +05cms on expanded.
(iv) Minimum height for candidates belonging to SC/ST MALE is 152 cms and FEMALE 145 cms. Candidates will have to undergo a Physical Test.
7. Post Name: Gateman

- Essential Qualification: SSLC passed and above or equivalent examination from recognized boards.

- Essential Qualification: VIII passed and above or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Age limit
- 18-32 years as of 01.01.2024. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years over the upper age limit of 32 years in the case of SC/ST candidates.
