NEHU Recruitment 2024 notification, Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals to fill up Non-Teaching Group-A posts at North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong. The application deadline is 23.02.2024.
1. Post Name:- Finance Officer
- No of posts:- 1 [UR:1]
Upper Age limit:- 57 years.
- Salary:- Pay level-14 (Rs. 1,44,200- 2,18,200)/-
- (a) Essential Qualification for Direct Recruitment:-
(i) Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
(ii) At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above including as an Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration.
OR
Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education.
OR
15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. - (b) Desirable:- Candidates who have served in Indian Audit and Accounts Services/Indian Defense Accounts/ Audit Services/Finance branch of similar organized services in Central/State Govt./Academic Institutions.
- For Deputation:- Qualification as per Sl. No. 1 (a) above and
Appointment preferably by drawing officers not below Level-12 belonging to the Indian Audit and Accounts services or other similar organized Services in Central/State Govt.
OR
University System/Other organization subject to fulfillment of qualification as indicated in para 1(a)&(b) above on Deputation for a tenure of 5 years or till attaining the age of 62 years, which is earlier.
2. Post Name:- Controller of Examinations
- No of posts:- 1 [UR:1]
Upper Age limit:- 57 years.
- Salary:- Pay level-14 (Rs. 1,44,200- 2,18,200)/-
- (a) Essential Qualification for Direct Recruitment
(i) Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
(ii) At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above including as an Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration.
OR

15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. - (b) Desirable:- Capable of implementing various provisions of NEP (including affiliated Colleges) and well-versed with technological advancements in the field.
- (c) Deputation:- Qualifications & Experience same as that for Direct Recruitment and holding analogous post or eight years experience at Pay Level-12
3. Post Name:- University Engineer
- No of posts:- 1 [UR:1]
- Upper Age limit:- 56 years.
- Salary:- Pay level-13 (Rs. 1,23,100- 2,15,900)
- (a) Essential Qualification for Direct Recruitment:-
(i) First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute/ University or equivalent
(ii) 08 years of experience as Executive Engineer in the relevant field from CPWD/State Government PWD services or similar organized services/Semi government/ PSU/ Statutory or Autonomous organization/University System or reputed private organizations with an annual turnover of at least Rs. 200/- Crores or more. - (b) Desirable:-
(1) Experience in the construction of projects of multi-story buildings and experience in planning/estimation/measurement/tending as per the CPWD/ PWD norms. Good knowledge of CPWD manuals, preparations/checking of estimates, drawings, structural details, bill of quantities, substitute/deviation items statements, and other associated issues related to building and construction.
(ii) Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and the latest Management Technology/other relevant software. - (c) Deputation:- Qualifications as per Sl. No.3 ( a) & (b) above. Officers holding analogous posts or with 8 years experience as Executive Engineer (Pay Level 11) or equivalent, in the CPWD/State Government PWD services or similar organized services/Semi-Government/PSU/Statutory or Autonomous Organization/ University System.
4. Post Name:- Deputy Registrar
- No of posts:- 4 [UR:2, OBC:1,ES:1]
- Upper Age limit:- 50 years.
- Salary:- Pay level-12 (Rs. 78,800- 2,09,200)
- (a) Essential Qualification:-
(i) Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
(ii) Five years experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post in the Pay Level 10 and above. - (b) Desirable:-
Experience in handling Administrative matters related to employees’ service matters, recruitment, pension, etc./procurement/Finance in State Govt./Central Govt./Autonomous Institutions/PSUs and CFTIS.
5. Post Name:- Assistant Registrar
- No of posts:- 4 [UR:2, OBC:1, SC:1]
- Upper Age limit:- 40 years.
- Salary:- Pay level
- (a) Essential Qualification:-
(i) Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.
(ii) The appointment under direct recruitment shall be made through an All India open competition conducting written tests and interviews. - (b) Desirable:- Hands-on experience or in a supervisory capacity in the field of Finance/ Procurement/ Technical management/employee service matters.
