1. Post Name:- Professor
- Salary:- Pay Level 14A of Pay Matrix (7th CPC)
- Essential Qualification:- Ph.D.
- Experience:- Ten years after Ph.D. or thirteen years total working experience, out of which seven years should be after Ph.D. At least three years at the level of Associate Professor with AGP of Rs. 9,500/- or four years at the level of Associate Professor with AGP Rs. 9,000/- or combination of Rs. 9,000/- and Rs. 9,500/-, or equivalent in an Institution of repute/ R&D lab or relevant industry.
2. Post Name:- Associate Professor
- Salary:- Pay Level 13A2 of Pay Matrix (7th CPC)
- Essential Qualification:- Ph.D.
- Experience:-
Six years after Ph.D. of which at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP Rs. 8,000/-.
OR
Nine years total working experience, of which three years should be after Ph.D., with at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP Rs. 8,000/-
3. Post Name:- Assistant Professor (Grade-I)
- Salary:- Pay Level 12 of Pay Matrix (7th CPC)
- Essential Qualification:- Ph.D.
- Experience:- Three years after Ph.D. or six years total teaching and research experience in reputed academic institutes/ R&D Labs/ relevant industry.
4. Post Name:- Assistant Professor (Grade II)
- Salary:- Pay Level 11 of Pay Matrix (7th CPC)
- Essential Qualification:- Ph.D.
- Experience:- One-year post-Ph.D. experience in Teaching and Research in Institutions of repute/ Industry.
5. Post Name:- Assistant Professor (Grade II)
- Salary:- Pay Level 10 of Pay Matrix (7th CPC)
- Essential Qualification:- Ph.D.
- Experience:- Nil

The printout of the filled-in application form should be sent by speed/registered post/courier to the “Registrar, National Institute of Technology Meghalaya, Bijni Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong- 793003”, in an envelope superscribing “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ………………., Department of ………….…….”
