1. Post Name:- Assistant Professor (Commerce)

  • No of posts:- 1 (One)
  • Educational Qualification:-
    1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (General candidates) and 50% (SC/ST candidates) or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading is followed at the Master’s Degree level in M.Com (Honours with Accounts and Finance) from a recognized University.
    2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
    3. Candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in Commerce, in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of P.hD Degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for requirement

2. Post Name:- Assistant Professor (Philosophy)

  • No of posts:- 1 (One)
  • Educational Qualification:-
    1. Master’s Degree level in M.A in Philosophy from a recognized University 1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (General Candidates) and 50% (SC/ST/OBC candidates) or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading is followed at the Master’s Degree level in M.A Philosophy from a recognized University.
    2. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
    3. Candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree with specialization with M.A. (Philosophy) in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2018 shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for requirement

3. Post Name:- Assistant Professor (Statistics)

  • No of posts:- 1 (One)
  • Educational Qualification:-
    1. Consistently good academic record as defined by the University with at least 55% marks (General candidates) and 50% (SC/ST candidates) or an equivalent grade in a
    point scale wherever grading is followed at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
    2. Besides the above qualifications, only those candidates who fulfill all the required norms stipulated by the UGC and as per Government of Meghalaya Notification No. EDN.375/2000/Pt.IV/49 dated 8.10.2018 may apply for the post.

  • Candidates who have had teaching/ research experience will be preferred.
