How To Register In Employment Exchange of Meghalaya ?

Register in Employment Exchange:- All Indians citizens who have attained the age of 14 years and who normally have been residing in Meghalaya for a period of not less than 1 (one) year are eligible to register their name with the Employment Exchanges in the State.

A Step by Step Guide to To Register In Employment Exchange of Meghalaya

Log on to the Employment Exchange Registration link under Meghalaya Directorate of Employment and Craftsmen Training portal. Once a candidate has completed the online Registration he/she will be issued with a Temporary Registration number which is automatically generated by the system.

The Candidate is then given 30 days’ time within which he/she is required to visit the Local Employment Exchange for verification of his/ her certificates/ documents (in Original) for issue the Employment Exchange I.D. Card X-10.

The following documents (in original) are required to be produced at the Local Employment Exchange for Completing the Registration Process.

  1. School Certificate/ Matric Certificate/ Birth Certificate for proof of the Date of Birth.
  2. Certificate(s) for proof of Qualification.
  3. Caste/Tribe certificate in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate.
  4. In the case of Ex-Servicemen, Certificate from Competent Authority.
  5. In the case of P.W.D.(Person With Disability) candidate-Disability certificate issued by Competent Authority.
  6. In the case of non-local Permanent Residents – A Permanent Resident Certificate (P.R.C.) issued by Competent Authority and E.P.I.C (if over18 years)/ Local Headman Certificate is required to be produced.
  7. Temporary Residents are required to produce the Residence Certificate from the Local Headman and Dependent Certificate (if a minor)/ E.P.I.C of the state where he originates (if over 18years).

The Registration is valid for a period of 3 years which the candidate may renew 2 months before the date of renewal or within 3 months after the expiry of the registration, online, or in person.

The portal provides Online Registration of job seekers, Online Updation/ Modification of Registration, Acceptance of Registration for vacancies from Employers, and sponsoring suitable candidates for Employment.

There are 11 District Employment Exchanges and 2 Sub-Divisional Employment Exchanges located in the following places.

Apart from the above Employment Exchanges, there are 11 (eleven) Employment Information and Assistance Bureaux in the State located in Block Offices to assist candidates in Employment registration.
